Blackline Safety Diffusion Cartridges
Blackline Safety diffusion cartridges give G7 wearable devices and G7 EXO area monitors a modular way to support changing gas detection and connected safety monitoring requirements. Available through Westech Industrial in Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, and Prince Edward Island, these plug-and-play cartridges help teams configure their G7 devices for targeted single-gas detection or broader multi-gas monitoring.
The Blackline Safety single-gas diffusion cartridge is designed for environments with a specific or known hazard, while the multi-gas diffusion cartridge supports two to four sensors and can monitor up to five gases when fitted with a dual-toxic COSH sensor. This modular approach allows users to adapt G7 wearables as site needs change, including converting a device from single-gas to multi-gas monitoring by changing the cartridge.
Each G7 cartridge configuration supports Blackline’s connected safety approach, including visual notifications such as the green SureSafe® light, which indicates power and connection status. With Westech Industrial’s life safety expertise, service capabilities, and custom fabrication support, customers can source Blackline Safety diffusion cartridges as part of a broader gas detection, worker safety, or integrated safety monitoring project.

Description
Modular Plug-and-Play Cartridge Design
Blackline Safety G7 cartridges use an exclusive modular sensor cartridge design, allowing users to customize G7 wearables and G7 EXO area monitors based on site-specific gas detection and safety monitoring needs. If a sensor reaches the end of its serviceable life, the cartridge can be swapped out in minutes.
Single-Gas Diffusion Monitoring
The single-gas diffusion cartridge provides targeted gas detection for environments where a specific gas hazard is known. This makes it a practical option for workers who require focused monitoring without a multi-gas configuration.
Multi-Gas Diffusion Flexibility
The multi-gas diffusion cartridge is compatible with G7 and G7 EXO and accommodates two to four sensors. When fitted with a dual-toxic COSH sensor, the cartridge can monitor up to five gases, supporting more complex gas detection requirements in a single connected device.
Connected Safety Visibility
G7 cartridges support Blackline’s connected safety notification system, including the green SureSafe® light for powered and connected status, yellow warning lights, red alert lights, and blue LiveResponse™ lights that confirm when a monitoring team has acknowledged an alert.
Simplified Bump Testing and Calibration
Cartridges installed into a G7 wearable are compatible with the G7 Dock, helping simplify bump tests and calibrations. The cartridge also supports bump test and calibration notifications, as well as bump test and calibration failure alerts.
Lifetime Warranty with Active Service Plan
Gas sensors are covered by a lifetime warranty when used with an active service plan, helping support long-term use and reducing the need for separate sensor replacement planning.
Applications
Blackline Safety diffusion cartridges are suited for teams that need configurable gas detection and connected worker safety monitoring across different environments and known hazard profiles. The modular cartridge design allows organizations to choose the right configuration for each worker, area, or monitoring program without replacing the entire G7 device.
Common applications include:
- Personal gas detection for G7 wearable users
- Targeted monitoring for specific or known gas hazards
- Multi-gas monitoring programs requiring two to four sensors
- Up to five-gas monitoring when using a COSH dual-toxic sensor
- G7 EXO area monitoring with multi-gas diffusion cartridges
- Safety programs requiring connected alerts, usage visibility, and monitoring team acknowledgement
- Cartridge replacement programs where sensor configurations may change over time
