The Rosemount™ 925FGD Fixed Gas Detector delivers early and accurate detection of combustible gases using advanced non-dispersive infrared (NDIR) technology. Engineered by Emerson as the first Rosemount-designed fixed gas detector, the 925FGD offers best-in-class performance, durability, and safety certifications to support process safety and emissions reduction across a wide range of industries.
Whether mounted directly or remotely using the optional Rosemount 905 Junction Box, this SIL2-certified detector offers smart functionality, fast response times, and the rugged reliability required in oil & gas, chemical processing, refining, and power generation applications.
Key Features:
- High-Accuracy IR Sensing: Utilizes the Rosemount 625 NDIR sensor for stable, reliable %LEL detection of hydrocarbon gases including methane, ethylene, ethane, propane, and butane.
- Smart Sensor Module: Sensors are pre-calibrated and store configuration data for easy plug-and-play replacement. They can also be calibrated off-site and installed later—minimizing downtime.
- Touchscreen Interface (LOI): A simple, tool-free operator interface enables real-time readings, easy calibration, and diagnostics with no magnets or external tools required.
- Digital Communication: Continuous digital communication between sensor and transmitter ensures fast, stable response times and improved reliability, even with long sensor separation distances.
- Flexible Output Options: Includes 4–20 mA with HART® 7, and relays for seamless integration with modern or legacy safety systems.
- Rugged & Certified: Built for harsh environments with IP66 ingress protection and full compliance to SIL2, ATEX, CSA (Canada/US), and IECEx standards.
- Wide Operating Range: Operates in extreme temperatures from -40°C to +70°C (or -55°C with heater), with humidity tolerance up to 95% RH non-condensing.
