Net Safety™ Millennium II (M22) Universal Dual Transmitter
The Net Safety Millennium II (M22) Universal Dual Transmitter is a flexible fixed gas detection transmitter designed to monitor two separate detection points from one field-mounted device. Built for demanding industrial environments, the M22 supports both toxic and combustible gas detection using compatible infrared, catalytic bead, and electrochemical sensor technologies.
The M22 helps reduce installation complexity by combining dual-channel monitoring, two separate output signals, digital sensor communication, and flexible output options in one transmitter platform. Sensors are pre-calibrated and recognized by the transmitter when connected, allowing the correct sensor configuration profile to be uploaded automatically.
Available at Westech Industrial in BC, Alberta, and Saskatchewan, the Net Safety Millennium II M22 Universal Dual Transmitter can be supported as part of a wider fixed gas detection solution. Westech can assist with product selection, service support, installation guidance, and custom fabrication requirements for facilities that need reliable gas detection integrated into panels, assemblies, shelters, or site-specific safety systems.

Description
Dual-Channel Gas Monitoring
The Net Safety M22 transmitter accepts two sensor inputs and provides two separate output signals. As a result, facilities can monitor two gas detection points with one transmitter. This design helps reduce equipment needs, wiring demands, and installation costs. It also supports cleaner system layouts in fixed gas detection applications.
Universal Sensor Compatibility
The transmitter supports compatible Net Safety SC3 Series infrared and catalytic bead sensors for combustible gas monitoring. It also supports ST3 Series electrochemical sensors for toxic gas detection. Therefore, users can configure one platform around different site hazards. This flexibility helps facilities standardize equipment across multiple detection points.
Smart Sensor Recognition
Sensors are pre-calibrated and easy to connect to the transmitter. Once installed, the transmitter recognizes the new sensor. Then, it automatically uploads the sensor’s specific configuration profile. This feature helps simplify setup and reduce the chance of configuration errors. It also supports faster sensor replacement during routine maintenance.
Flexible Communication Options
The Net Safety M22 transmitter is available with analog 4–20 mA output. In addition, optional models support relay outputs and RS-485 Modbus® RTU communication. These options help the transmitter connect with new or existing control systems. Because of this flexibility, the M22 works well in both new projects and retrofit installations.
Non-Intrusive Setup and Calibration
Operators can access setup and calibration through the menu interface using a magnetic switch. This non-intrusive design helps reduce unnecessary enclosure access during field activities. In turn, maintenance teams can complete common tasks more efficiently. The transmitter also includes redundant menu access through push buttons when required.
Full Graphic OLED Display
The organic LED display gives operators clear visibility in various ambient lighting conditions. It shows gas concentration, operating status, and menu prompts. As a result, personnel can review important information quickly during operation or maintenance. The display also supports an intuitive menu structure for easier field use.
Long-Range Sensor Separation
The M22 supports remote sensor mounting up to 2,000 ft. / 600 m using 16 AWG wire. Therefore, facilities can place sensors near gas hazards while keeping transmitters accessible. This separation helps improve installation flexibility in large or complex industrial areas. It also supports safer and more practical maintenance access.
Diagnostics and Event Logging
Built-in diagnostics help operators monitor device and sensor performance. Additionally, displayed event logging stores up to 980 events for review. The transmitter can also retrieve the last calibration information from the sensor. Together, these features support troubleshooting, maintenance planning, and system performance checks.
Multilingual Menu Interface
The menu interface supports English, French, Spanish, and Portuguese. This multilingual design helps operators work more confidently across different teams and facilities. It also supports clearer interaction during setup, calibration, and routine checks.
Rugged Enclosure Options
The Net Safety M22 transmitter is available in cast aluminum or stainless steel. It also supports surface, pipe, or duct mounting. These enclosure and mounting options help users adapt the transmitter to demanding industrial environments. Consequently, the M22 offers strong installation flexibility for fixed gas detection systems.
Applications
The Net Safety Millennium II M22 Universal Dual Transmitter is suited for industrial facilities that require reliable fixed gas detection with two-point monitoring from one transmitter.
Common applications include:
- Oil and gas facilities
- Petrochemical processing areas
- Industrial processing facilities
- Wastewater treatment facilities
- Hazardous manufacturing environments
- New or retrofit gas detection systems requiring analog, relay, or Modbus communication
- Facilities requiring remote sensor placement away from the transmitter
