Vaisala Polaris PR53M PTFE-Body Process Refractometer
Safely and accurately measure the concentrations of even the most aggressive chemicals, including hydrochloric acid (HCI), sodium hydroxide (NaOH), sodium chloride (NaCl), sulphuric acid (H₂SO₄), and hydrofluoric acid (HF), with the Vaisala Polaris PR53M PFTE-body process refractometer. Designed for the chemical and semiconductor industries, this instrument provides extreme chemical resistance and durability in the harshest environments.
The PR53M features an integrated ultra-pure PTFE flow cell with no metallic wetted parts, making it suitable for contact with aggressive chemicals. It easily mounts into ½ inch process lines with a standard NTP-threaded connection.
With over 500 concentration curve options available in Vaisala’s library, the PR53M is ready to use straight out of the box without requiring any on-site conversion. Choose your curve and start measuring concentrations with confidence in even the most challenging chemical processes.

Integrated flow cell and non-metallic wetted parts
The integrated ultra-pure PTFE and sapphire flow cell are suitable to be used in the most demanding environments. Non-metallic wetted parts together with the flow cell ensure that no corrosive elements are introduced to the process.

Always accurate, no drift
The measurement is based on optical measurement of the refractive index (RI). The RI can be measured from practically any liquid or slurry, and it is sensitive to dissolved material. Bubbles, particles or color do not affect the measurement.
