PRATT – OS Series Wafer/Lug Butterfly Valves
PRATT OS Series Wafer/Lug Butterfly Valves support reliable flow control across industrial fluid systems. These PRATT OS butterfly valves come in wafer and lug styles, which gives facilities flexible installation options. Westech Industrial offers sizes 2” through 48”, with stocking in sizes 2” through 36”. These valves are available Canada wide through Westech Industrial.
The OS Series uses a resilient seated design for bi-directional, bubble-tight service. It also supports full vacuum service. PRATT offers pressure ratings of 200 psi for 2” through 12” sizes and 150 psi for 14” and larger sizes.
These valves suit many industrial applications because they combine strong materials, practical actuation options, and efficient flow characteristics. Westech Industrial can help customers select the right PRATT OS butterfly valves for their process needs. We also support service requirements, custom fabrication, and packaged solutions for larger fluid-handling systems.

Description
Wafer and Lug Styles for Flexible Installation
PRATT OS butterfly valves come in wafer and lug styles. This gives facilities options when matching the valve to existing piping and maintenance needs. The wafer style fits between flanges in compact installations. The lug style offers another option for systems that require a bolted body connection. Both styles support installation between ANSI 125/150 flanges.
Pressure Ratings for Industrial Service
The OS Series supports 200 psi pressure service in 2” through 12” sizes. Sizes 14” and larger support 150 psi service. This range gives operators a practical valve option for many industrial fluid systems. The valves also support full vacuum service, which adds flexibility for applications with changing operating conditions. For projects using Viton seat material, the Viton option carries a 165 psi rating.
Secure Seat Design
PRATT uses a three-point tongue-and-groove seat connection in the OS Series. This design helps keep the seat secure during operation. It also supports high dead-end pressure and full vacuum service. The centre tongue locks the seat into place and allows rubber material to move into the body groove during cycling. As a result, the valve can reduce operating torque and support smoother movement.
Strong Shaft and Disc Construction
The OS Series uses a two-piece shaft design. This creates a strong drive connection while helping reduce disc movement under high pressure. The heat-treated stainless steel shaft adds strength for demanding operation. In addition, PRATT offers disc material options that include nickel-plated ductile iron, nylon-coated ductile iron, 304 stainless steel, and aluminum bronze. These options help match the valve to the application.
Automation-Ready Design
PRATT OS butterfly valves support lever, worm gear, pneumatic, and electric actuation options. In addition, the ISO 5211 top flange provides a universal mounting pad for automation requirements and suits most actuators in the market.
Shaft Sealing and Bushing Support
The OS Series uses a blowout-proof stem that meets API 609 requirements. The design also creates a secondary stem journal seal to help prevent leakage to atmosphere. A self-adjusting O-ring provides the upper shaft seal. PRATT also uses three upper and one lower RTFE bushings. These bushings reduce stem journal friction and help lower torque requirements.
Flow Capacity for Efficient Operation
The OS Series delivers high Cv values across its size range. Higher Cv values help reduce flow resistance. In turn, facilities may lower system operating costs over the life of the valve. This makes PRATT OS butterfly valves a strong option where efficient flow control matters.
Applications
PRATT OS Series Wafer/Lug Butterfly Valves support a broad range of industrial fluid systems. They work well where facilities need reliable shutoff, efficient flow, and practical actuation options.
