The CRYSOUND CRY8125 Ex acoustic imaging camera gives industrial inspection teams a portable solution for locating gas leaks in hazardous environments. It also detects electrical partial discharge and supports mechanical condition inspections.
CRYSOUND designed the CRY8125 for applications where hazardous-area certification matters. The camera carries TÜV-certified IECEx and ATEX approvals and complies with IEC 60079-0 and IEC 60079-11. Its Ex certification allows use for gas leak detection in Zone 2 explosive gas and dust atmospheres.
A 200-microphone MEMS array combines with a 2 kHz to 100 kHz frequency range for precise acoustic localization. Operators can scan equipment from distances ranging from 0.2 to 200 metres. This range supports faster inspection of piping, process equipment and difficult-to-access assets.
The CRY8125 can locate compressed gas leaks and measure leak rates during an inspection. Under specified conditions, it can detect a 0.0029 L/min leak from 10 metres at 2.7 bar. It also estimates losses in real time, helping maintenance teams evaluate findings and prioritize repairs.
In addition, the camera supports partial discharge detection and type recognition. Maintenance teams can also use acoustic imaging to investigate bearings, conveyors and other mechanical equipment.

TÜV-Certified Protection for Zone 2 Hazardous Areas
The CRY8125 provides an important advantage for Oil & Gas, natural gas, chemical and other industrial operations. It carries TÜV-certified IECEx and ATEX approvals for use in explosive atmospheres.
The camera meets IEC 60079-0 and IEC 60079-11 requirements. Its Ex marking is II 3 G Ex ic IIC T5 Gc / II 3 D Ex ic IIIC T100°C Dc.
This certification supports gas leak inspections in Zone 2 explosive gas and dust atmospheres. As a result, operators can use acoustic imaging in applications where a standard non-Ex inspection camera may not be appropriate.
200 Microphones for Precise Acoustic Imaging
The CRY8125 uses 200 MEMS microphones to locate and visualize acoustic sources. Its frequency range extends from 2 kHz to 100 kHz.
This combination helps operators find small leaks and partial discharge activity while working from a practical distance. Instead of manually checking individual connections, an operator can scan a wider section of equipment and visually locate the acoustic source.

Detect and Measure Compressed Gas Leaks
The CRY8125 detects leaks from compressed, non-volatile gases and provides leak rate measurement. Acoustic imaging helps the operator see where the leak originates on the equipment.
Under specified conditions, the camera can detect a 0.0029 L/min leak at 10 metres and 2.7 bar. At 0.5 metres and 1.9 bar, it can detect a 0.0028 L/min leak.

The CRY8125 supports inspection distances from 0.2 to 200 metres (1 to 656 feet).

Its 600-nit brightness helps operators view inspection information in bright field conditions. The camera also provides up to 6X digital zoom for closer visual inspection of equipment.
A 13-megapixel camera and 66-degree field of view give the operator a clear view of the surrounding asset while the acoustic image identifies the sound source.
Lightweight Handheld Design
The CRY8125 weighs only 1.4 kg (3 lbs). Its portable design allows an operator to carry it through a facility during inspection routes.
Each replaceable smart battery provides up to five hours of operation. A battery indicator lets operators monitor the remaining charge while working.
