Blackline Safety G7c Wireless Gas Detector

The Blackline Safety G7c Wireless Gas Detector is a connected personal safety and gas detection device designed to help protect workers through real-time monitoring, cellular connectivity, location awareness, and configurable gas detection. Using integrated 4G/3G cellular connectivity, G7c links workers to live monitoring personnel and automatically communicates safety incidents, gas events, usage data, bump test results, and calibration information.

G7c is built with a modular cartridge design, allowing teams to configure the device as a standard safety monitor, single-gas detector, multi-gas diffusion detector, or multi-gas pump detector. This flexibility helps support different worker safety requirements, gas detection needs, and compliance programs without requiring a completely different device platform.

When a gas leak, injury, health event, fall, no-motion event, SOS alert, or other safety incident occurs, the G7c can communicate incident data and worker location information in real time. With two-way voice, text messaging, push-to-talk, GPS, indoor location beacon compatibility, and Blackline Live monitoring, teams can improve response coordination and situational awareness.

The Blackline Safety G7c Wireless Gas Detector is available through Westech Industrial in Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, and Prince Edward Island. Westech Industrial can support product selection, configuration guidance, service needs, and broader project requirements. For facilities that require additional integrated safety infrastructure, Westech’s custom fabrication capabilities can also support project-specific gas detection and monitoring solutions.

Description

Integrated Cellular Connectivity

G7c uses integrated 4G/3G cellular connectivity to connect workers, supervisors, and monitoring personnel in real time. Usage and event data automatically streams to the cloud when the device is operating in areas of cellular coverage, helping reduce manual data collection and improve visibility across safety programs.

Real-Time Safety Monitoring

When an incident occurs, G7c communicates safety event data to live monitoring personnel who can help mobilize responders to a worker’s location or support an evacuation response. This helps ensure alerts are not dependent on the worker being able to manually call for help.

Two-Way Voice and Messaging

The G7c includes two-way speakerphone functionality, allowing monitoring personnel to communicate directly with workers during an event. It also supports text messaging and push-to-talk, giving teams more ways to communicate when conditions change or additional information is needed.

Modular Cartridge Design

G7c can be configured with a Standard Cartridge, Single-gas Cartridge, Multi-gas Diffusion Cartridge, or Multi-gas Pump Cartridge. This modular design allows the device to be adapted to different gas detection requirements, worker roles, and site safety programs.

Configurable Gas Detection

With compatible gas cartridges and sensors, G7c can monitor for a wide range of gases, including carbon monoxide, hydrogen sulfide, oxygen, ammonia, chlorine, sulfur dioxide, combustible gases, carbon dioxide, VOCs through PID, and more. Gas alarm functions include under limit, over limit, TWA, STEL, high gas alert, low gas alert, bump test notification, calibration notification, and related failure alerts.

Location Awareness Indoors and Outdoors

G7c supports Assisted-GPS location technology and can work with Blackline Safety indoor location beacons. Event and usage data is time and location-stamped, helping teams understand where events happen and respond with better context.

Automated Compliance Visibility

G7c communicates bump test and calibration data for live compliance visibility and reporting. Through Blackline Analytics, teams can review usage, event, and compliance data without manually gathering and compiling records from each device.

Worker Safety Functions Beyond Gas Detection

In addition to gas alarms, G7c includes fall detection, no-motion detection, SOS latch alerts, silent SOS alerts, low-battery notifications, worker check-in, alarm lights, vibration, and audible alarm indicators. These features help support lone worker safety and connected worker monitoring programs.

Applications

The Blackline Safety G7c Wireless Gas Detector is suited for workers and teams that require connected safety monitoring, gas detection, location visibility, and compliance data in cellular coverage areas.

Common applications may include:

  • Personal gas detection for workers in areas with cellular coverage
  • Lone worker and connected worker safety monitoring
  • Gas leak alerting and live emergency response coordination
  • Worker check-in, fall detection, no-motion detection, SOS, and silent SOS alerts
