DURAG Group LaserCEM® Multi-Gas Monitoring System

The DURAG LaserCEM® is a turnkey multi-gas monitoring system designed for continuous emissions monitoring system (CEMS) applications. It uses two patented technologies — OFCEAS® (Optical Feedback Cavity Enhanced Absorption Spectroscopy) and LPS® (Low Pressure Sampling) — to deliver fast, interference-free, high-resolution gas analysis across a wide range of gas matrices. DURAG positions the LaserCEM as a pre-calibrated, QAL1-certified and US-EPA capable analyzer for stack emissions monitoring and environmental compliance applications.

A key advantage of the LaserCEM® is its low-pressure sampling design, which allows direct measurement without heating or drying the sample prior to analysis. This helps reduce the risk of pollutant losses, condensation-related interference, and washout effects, while also lowering installation, operating, and maintenance costs. The system can measure a broad range of gases including HF, HCl, NH3, CH4, SO2, CO, CO2, NO, NO2, O2, N2O, H2S, CHOH, and H2O.

Available in Western Canada through Westech Industrial, the LaserCEM® is a strong fit for facilities that need a reliable multi-gas analyzer for emissions compliance and process monitoring. Westech supplies analytical instrumentation and integrated solutions to Canadian industry and also provides analytical integration expertise for custom analyzer systems, sample conditioning systems, and CEM/CEMS applications.

PRODUCT FAQ's

What is the DURAG LaserCEM® used for?
The DURAG LaserCEM® is used for continuous multi-gas stack emissions monitoring in CEMS applications. It is designed to support environmental compliance by continuously measuring multiple gases in flue gas and other non-combustible process gas streams.
What makes the LaserCEM® different from traditional extractive gas analyzers?
The LaserCEM® combines OFCEAS® and Low Pressure Sampling to enable high-resolution measurement without heating or drying the sample first. That helps reduce condensation risks, washout effects, and potential losses of water-soluble or reactive pollutants
What gases can the LaserCEM® measure?
The LaserCEM® can measure a wide range of gases, including HF, HCl, NH3, CH4, SO2, CO, CO2, NO, NO2, O2, N2O, H2S, CHOH, and H2O. It can also measure interferents or normalization gases such as water and oxygen with the same analyzer.
Is the LaserCEM® suitable for Canadian emissions monitoring applications?
Yes. DURAG lists Canada’s Air Pollutant Emissions Inventory, the Canadian Environmental Protection Act (CEPA), and the Environmental Code of Practice for Stationary Combustion Turbines among the environmental frameworks referenced for LaserCEM® applications. Final compliance suitability will depend on the installation, process, and full monitoring program requirements.
Can Westech Industrial provide support for the LaserCEM® in Canada?
Yes. Westech Industrial supplies analytical instrumentation and integrated solutions across Canada and provides product support, analytical integration expertise, and custom analyzer system capabilities for applications such as CEM/CEMS, continuous gas analysis, and sample conditioning systems. Westech also states that product support is a core part of its value to customers, with 24/7 availability and more than 60 years supporting Canadian industry.
