Vaisala Process Refractometer PR-23-GP – Chemical

In-line liquid concentration or density measurement for process control in chemically aggressive liquids

Vaisala (formerly K-Patents Process Instruments) Saunders and Teflon body Process refractometers PR-23-W and PR-23-M are designed for measuring the liquid concentration and density in chemically aggressive solutions and in ultra-pure fine chemicals.

The PR-23-W/M masters highly accurate measuring technology in demanding process control applications where conventional density equipment may struggle due to undissolved solids or bubbles in the process stream. The instrument installs directly into the process pipe or vessel and provides a continuous 4-20 mA or digital measurement signal for real-time process control.

The refractometer system consists of a Saunders body refractometer PR-23-W or a Teflon body refractometer PR-23-M and an indicating transmitter.

Vaisala Process Refractometer PR-23-GP
A general industry refractometer for large pipe sizes and vessel installations. Installation through a flange or clamp connection. Area classification Zone 2 (Class I, Div. 2); area classification for Intrinsically safe PR-23-GP-IA Zone 0, Zone 1.

Vaisala Compact Process Refractometer PR-23-GC
A general industry compact refractometer for the small pipeline and bypass line applications. Installed in the process either directly in a pipe elbow by a Sandvik coupling connection or in a straight pipe via a Wafer flow cell or a Pipe flow cell. Economical option when higher alloys and special wetted parts materials are required. Intrinsically safe and hazardous area certification is provided for hazardous areas.

Vaisala Saunders Body Refractometer PR-23-W
A heavy-duty refractometer for chemically aggressive liquids in large-scale production and in large pipe sizes (diameter 50, 80 or 100mm/2″, 3″ or 4″). Also for solutions that corrode or foul metal parts, as well as for ultra-pure fine chemical processes where metal parts cannot be used. Area classification Zone 2 (Class I, Div. 2); area classification for Intrinsically safe PR-23-W-IA Zone 0, Zone 1.

Vaisala Teflon Body Refractometer PR-23-M
A compact refractometer for chemically aggressive solutions and ultra-pure fine chemical processes. Connected to the process by a G1/2″ female or a 1/2″ NPT process connection. Area classification Zone 2 (Class I, Div. 2); area classification for Intrinsically safe PR-23-M-IA Zone 0, Zone 1.
